In describing relationships, we need to use suitable words to make those right feelings to appear. Follow these words about relationships to improve the impact of our sentence-building skills:

- avuncular: like an uncle
e.g: an avuncular advice

- fraternal: brotherly
e.g: fraternal love

- sororal: sisterly
e.g: sororal love

- paternal: like a father
e.g: paternal care

- maternal: like a mother
e.g: maternal concern

- platonic: love, friendship, between a man or a woman, without a desire to love-making

- marital: of marriage

- extramarital: outside the marriage

- premarital: before marriage

- regal: kingly, royal or like a king

- filial: of a son or daughter
e.g: filial duty

Hope those words will help, though it's too little, to improve our writing skills.

2) Have a bent for: To be naturally gifted.
e.g: She has a bent for English.

3) Be on edge: to be nervous.
e.g: The strain was so great that they were all on edge.

4) On the sky: in secret.
e.g: He smokes on the sky.

5) My blood is up: I am determined.
e.g: Don't try to discourage me; my blood is up.
